By Keltic Design by Lizzie Starr

I love celtic art and symbolism. So I jumped at the chance to read this story. I really liked that it wasn't predictable, and had enough twists and turns to keep me engaged. Allyn was an interesting character, the way she was there and gone so quickly in the beginning. Then learning of the other connections to the Otherworld that Jaye had in his life was even more fun. Jaye's insistence of being a loner did get a bit old, but happily he did get over it.  I did like the fact that he got to find his family after so long thinking they had thoughtlessly abandoned him.

Synopsis:
Allyn Keely, Celtic artist and friend of Faerie, finally finds a man she can love. But she’s older than he is and faces the insurmountable task of helping him realize his destiny in the Otherworld.
Successful businessman, Jaye Zeroun prides himself on his realistic, but lonely, view of life. Until Allyn knots her way around his heart and fills his life with a fantasy he refuses to believe. Then danger threatens their love, forcing him to either accept a deadly battle or lose the very things he never included in his life, a family and a love beyond his wildest imagining.

True to the Highlander by Barbara Longley

I totally loved this story. I was excited to get to read it from the very first. I was very glad to see that it lived up to the hype I built up in my head.  I loved how True was able to adapt to life in 1423. Her love of music was a nice touch as well. I thought the relationship between True and Malcolm was very well done, he was so torn at times but when he finally listened it just all works out- as any good story should. I really do love it when I find a story that tugs on the heartstrings.  I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a highland romance. Can't wait for the next one!

 Synopsis:
Treachery rules the Highlands of 1423. With their king captured by the English, Scottish nobles plot to ransom James behind the back of the brutal regent holding their land in his iron grip. But not every clan wishes to see King James back on his throne…
Sitting atop this powder keg of bloodthirsty rivalries, Malcolm of clan MacKintosh takes the mysterious, lone maiden he finds along his road as a bad omen…though an undeniably beautiful one. When he attempts to save her from a rogue within his own garrison, she deftly brings Malcolm to his knees. Who is this willful lass who has so quickly laid siege to his heart?
Alethia Goodsky has met all kinds working at the New York Renaissance Festival, but no one like the fortune-teller who tasks her with a cryptic life-saving mission and flings her into the fifteenth century. Now Alethia must rely on her wits to unravel the mystery in this violent land. Malcolm has sworn to protect her, but her gifts may soon make her his protector. With enemies closing in, Alethia must choose between finding a way home…and remaining true to her Highlander.
