By Keltic Design by Lizzie Starr

I love celtic art and symbolism. So I jumped at the chance to read this story. I really liked that it wasn't predictable, and had enough twists and turns to keep me engaged. Allyn was an interesting character, the way she was there and gone so quickly in the beginning. Then learning of the other connections to the Otherworld that Jaye had in his life was even more fun. Jaye's insistence of being a loner did get a bit old, but happily he did get over it.  I did like the fact that he got to find his family after so long thinking they had thoughtlessly abandoned him.

Synopsis:
Allyn Keely, Celtic artist and friend of Faerie, finally finds a man she can love. But she’s older than he is and faces the insurmountable task of helping him realize his destiny in the Otherworld.
Successful businessman, Jaye Zeroun prides himself on his realistic, but lonely, view of life. Until Allyn knots her way around his heart and fills his life with a fantasy he refuses to believe. Then danger threatens their love, forcing him to either accept a deadly battle or lose the very things he never included in his life, a family and a love beyond his wildest imagining.

True to the Highlander by Barbara Longley

I totally loved this story. I was excited to get to read it from the very first. I was very glad to see that it lived up to the hype I built up in my head.  I loved how True was able to adapt to life in 1423. Her love of music was a nice touch as well. I thought the relationship between True and Malcolm was very well done, he was so torn at times but when he finally listened it just all works out- as any good story should. I really do love it when I find a story that tugs on the heartstrings.  I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a highland romance. Can't wait for the next one!

 Synopsis:
Treachery rules the Highlands of 1423. With their king captured by the English, Scottish nobles plot to ransom James behind the back of the brutal regent holding their land in his iron grip. But not every clan wishes to see King James back on his throne…
Sitting atop this powder keg of bloodthirsty rivalries, Malcolm of clan MacKintosh takes the mysterious, lone maiden he finds along his road as a bad omen…though an undeniably beautiful one. When he attempts to save her from a rogue within his own garrison, she deftly brings Malcolm to his knees. Who is this willful lass who has so quickly laid siege to his heart?
Alethia Goodsky has met all kinds working at the New York Renaissance Festival, but no one like the fortune-teller who tasks her with a cryptic life-saving mission and flings her into the fifteenth century. Now Alethia must rely on her wits to unravel the mystery in this violent land. Malcolm has sworn to protect her, but her gifts may soon make her his protector. With enemies closing in, Alethia must choose between finding a way home…and remaining true to her Highlander.

Once and Forever

This was a great collection. None of the stories were the 'usual'.  I will admit that I read this a while ago and am just now getting to the review, but one glance at the synopsis brought it all back.
Playing for Keeps by Mary Blayney
This was a fine story, it was a bit fast in places which made it a bit muddy in my head as to what was going on.  This is for sure a story that I think would be better as a longer story, to fill in some of the blanks. You know that Kendall is trying to get an autograph for her sick sister, but then nothing really happens there.
The Princess & the Pinot by Elaine Fox
This one really tore at my heart. I really do love it when I read a book and my heart breaks for the characters. Kim is in love with Cooper, but doesn't know what to do about it, and doesn't want to change things and is intent on letting him go even if it is the last thing that she wants to do.  The whole allusion to the Princess and the Pea was quite entertaining.
Duets by Emelle Gamble
Of all the stories, this is the one that just didn't quite stick in my mind. I found it regrettably forgettable. I know I read it, and didn't hate it- so that is all I can really say here.
Never and Forever by Lavinia Kent
This was my favorite of this collection. I loved the twist that while Molly was a member of the Ton she didn't feel like a week of being an Earl's daughter was long enough for her to change all of herself for.   I loved the Duke, he wasn't nearly as stuck up as you would have thought and I am so happy that he supported Molly and her agency.
The Psychic Detective by Evie Owens
I liked this one, the whole ghost aspect wasn't my favorite, but it works. Martin and Erin are interesting, but again I think if this were a bit longer, it would be even better.

One More Day by M Malone

Ridley Wells has no idea what to do with her life now that she’s graduated from college. But when a friend is murdered and her apartment is trashed, she runs to the only person she trusts, her twin sister. No one will think to look for her in the rinky-dink Virginia town of New Haven.
Of course, her luck lands her passed out in the grass in front of resident bad boy, music producer Jackson Alexander. Strike 1! Then she realizes Raina’s out of the country and she has nowhere else to go. Strike 2!
So when the handsome producer with the platinum smile mistakes her for her sister, she gets an idea.
Where better to hide than in plain sight?

So I liked this story quite a bit. It really wasn't what I was expecting in many ways and I always find that entertaining. I liked the fact that Jackson was a bit damaged around the edges, and that Ridley was so sweet to the boys and trying hard to do the right thing. I also thought that the family interactions were well done and realistic. I was happy to find that I didn't guess the whole plot before it was revealed. The faked accounts and incriminating but planted evidence was quite the twist in the story.   Both characters were well written and believable which is a must for me. I quite happily give this story 4 stars!

The Temptation of Lady Serena by Ella Quinn

Ella Quinn’s bachelors in The Marriage Game series are charming and cunning when it comes to the ways of love—until the right woman captures their unsuspecting hearts…

I truly enjoyed this book. The story was interesting and had enough plot to catch and keep my attention. I really liked getting to know the characters and their motivations. I also liked the interactions with the staff, and how both Serena's maid and Roberts valet took pains to protect their employer's reputations by messing up the beds etc.  This book was a real treat to read and I will for sure be looking forward to anything else Ms. Quinn writes. She has a very entertaining style and clear voice.
